Introduction
There are eight species in two subgenera.
Some of the eight species are now highly endangered due to overfishing.
Tuna are found in all tropical, subtropical and temperate seas.
They reach body lengths of around 1 metre to 4.5 metres
and can weigh between 20 and 700 kg.

Maximum length: 2.20 m
Individually or in small groups along outer reef drop-offs.
Greedy fish predator with large conical teeth.
Not shy towards divers.
