Size: 8 - 12 cm
Depth: 2 - 40 m
Mostly carnivorous, digging in the sand for prey (mussels and snails).
Also eats carrion, but only if it is fresh.
They got their name because their whitish body has spiralling bands
with transverse bands and spots that form a note-like pattern.
The animal itself has a similar pattern.
