This species was only described in 2018.
In the past, this colorful snail was often confused with
Hypselodoris kanga and Hypselodoris infucata.
It has a white body with yellow and slightly smaller blue-black spots.
The gills are orange-red at the outer edges and have opaque white spots in between.
The rhinophores are red at the base and have bright red tips.
