Maximum length: 10 cm

Maximum depth: no depth information on the net or in books.

It differs from other Armina species by its black foot,

which is bordered by an orange-red band.

Its rhinophores are black with an orange-yellow tip.

Armina scotti ( Mehrotra, Caballer & Chavanich, 2017 )

Scotti's armina

Maximum length: 5 cm

Maximum depth: 11- 25 m

Black back with pale yellow grooves forming three rounded spots.

The mouth veil is white with a pale blue band and yellow edge

The rhinophores have orange tips.

They regularly feed on sea feathers.

Dermatobranchus ornatus

Maximum length: 75 mm

White cream to bluish grey, undulating mantle margin

with flat tubercles whose tips have light orange rings.

The foot has a thin orange-coloured mantle margin.

Closely spaced rhinophores with black tips and fronts.

Dermatobranchus phyllodes ( Gosliner & Fahey, 2011 )

Maximum length: 1.3 - 4 cm

Maximum depth: 15 m

This snail was only described in 2011.

Diagonal furrows on the body, which gives it a leaf-like appearance.

Hence the name “phyllodes” which means leaf in Greek.

Body color: light green with pink spots, which can be vaguely seen behind the rhinophores in photo 2,

also large dark green spots.

White rhinophores with dark cap.
