Caribbean reef squid or reef squid
Maximum length: 30 cm.
Depth up to 20 metres
This cuttlefish has a thin, undulating body edge,
bright green-blue eyes and is very variable in colour.
Mostly found in open water over reefs, sandy areas or seagrass beds.
Very shy animals, always far enough away from divers,
always changing colour to indicate their mood.
Often found in formation with conspecifics in order to hunt more effectively.

Egg mass from the Diamond squid, Diamondback squid
or Rhomboid squid
Size: up to 100 cm
The photos show the free-floating, tubular egg mass of the rhombus squid.
The squid itself is large and is found in tropical and subtropical deep waters.
Unfortunately I don't have a photo of this animal,
it only comes to the surface at night,
to feed and reproduce.
It has short arms and large triangular fins that run the entire length of the mantle.
